Hey guys, I just registered my truck for this show on October 5th at coors ampitheater in San Diego, CA..

I know my truck isnt really a show truck, but i decided to do something different.

I have been to many different shows and have seen all kinds of displays, what are some good ideas of displays, different truck effects etc etc. Any suggestions? I have seen the mirrors at the wheels, but im not really into that, but that kinda stuff is what im getting at...

Am i going to see any of you guys there?

I haven't seen any good displays from most of the shows that folks post photos of. It used to be the display was #1.

It wasn't 1 mirror at each rim. It was the car tilted up on two wheels on it's side with 25 of those beveled edge mirror squares that had something etched on them.

Something else I have seen that was pretty different is a guy with a 4x4 chevy had it up on ramps... But there was astroturf over the ramps. Then he had fake trees and plants placed all over so it looks like he was climbing a hill in a forest or jungle..

But it's all about exploiting the theme you like. .

The more extravagant that it is ($$$) the more likely you will win a trophy because of it. But if you shop smart and keep everything on a theme you will kill everyone and not break the bank doing it.

i just park and leave it. i dont sit in it and listen to the radio or anything. i make sure all my personal junk is outa site(cds cd cases magazines trash) and just let the truck draw attenetion and not some flashy pos display i could spent the money i spent on it instead of on my truck. if the truck gets attention hell yea if not o well. i see lots of good lookin vehciles trashed by a nasty display.

the ramps gave me an idea


im gona build just a small like 1.5 foot ramp to put under my right front tire. make it look a little different. but other then that im gonna be buffing the hell outta it tomarrow beacause i went o-roading a week ago and got all these surface scratches on it...


any1 gonna be making the show?

anyway instead of a ramp jsut haul a big ass rock or something or make a little ramp that looks like a rock? just an idea, damn nice truck by the way. i'm sure you'll win somethin

im actually in just for show, no competition, since im sure there is going to be many many higher end cars/trucks there.
