hey everybody just wanted to share my recently completed intake setup
i used a maf froma tarus sho cone filter and various outher intake parts i think from a aerostar and something else cant remember from u-wrench it junkyard but somehow it all hooked up nicely and throttle responce and overall power is so much better!

Looks great, bdroped. Sounds like you sure used a lot of different parts, glad it worked out OK. I know you needed the aerostar intake tube, but the MAF came from a taurus? That's different. How much can you hear the intake? I had a cone on my 99 4.0 and had to build a shroud around it out of an old flower pot. Partly to keep it from the engine heat, and partly to reduce the drone it made under throttle.

no real noises during regular driving but under wot it has a deeper sound to it but no noticable filter sounds that i can tell at least
im gonna try your flower pot idea mainly to prevent rain water on the filter

Looks very clean! Good job. I'd like to get my hands on one of those tubes, so I can get ram air goin.
