I am thinking of leaving the world of ground scaping and lifting my '02 into the air. I can't deny that this body style looks awesome lifted, besides the '93 will remain lowered. I have looked at other trucks and found that ryanerb's truck is incredible. I would love to have my truck look like his. The wife hasn't objected to my wishes yet, but she just wishes that I make up my mind and leave it alone.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. What kits are out there to give me the look that I'm after and where are the best and cheapest places to get them from. As I said, I'm used to the world of lowered trucks, not the lifted ones so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

First things first: How big is your wallet??
Suspension Lifts:
5.5" Fabtech Motorsports (http://www.fabtechmotorsports.com/applications/ford/ford2wd83_01ranger.html)
5.5" Camburg Engineering (http://www.camburg.com/fords98RangerP.html)
Combine one of these with a PA Bodylift (http://www.performanceaccessories.com/) and you'll be able to run some 33x12.50s or maybe 35x12.50s.

RCD has a lift for our trucks too, I don't know the availiability though. Fabtech is what I would recommend, the Camburg kit is wider and you would need fenders, etc. Ryanb has a body lift along with his 5.5" Fabtech kit but I'm pretty sure you can clear 33's with just the 5.5" kit and no fenders so long as you don't offroad it hard.

You can fit bigger tires with fiberglass front fenders and flairing your rear fenders too. You may be able to go with a Fabtech 5.5 kit, fiberglass front fenders and flaired rear fenders and fit 35's. Good Luck.

I have the Fabtech 3.5 inche lift for my 99 Ranger 2wd. I am running 33x12.50's on 15x10 rims. All we had to do was trim about half an inch on the plastic thing under the bumper and then we just turned the tires all the way into the well and took a bat as I backed up, it pushed the inside of the fender in and I have plently of clearance for the tires. Didn't hurt the fender at all.

The rubbing in your case would be solved by the better suited 15x8 wheel with 3.75" backspacing. With that knowledge, it seems possible to run 33x12.50s on 6" of lift (on a 2wd) with no rubbing.
