hello all who reads this.. quite history on truck never had any problems until now..had truck lowered more and the hydro set up redone and added a fuel cell all done by bonified customs happy with the work that was done but now i get truck home and my problems start first fuel pump goes bad so i replace it and the filter stainer , went for a couple days then i get the nasty smell like rooten eggs so i took off cats and hollowed them out no more smell fixed that .. now my problem is ingition coils, i say coils because ive went thought 5coils working on 6 i started looking for the problem on the 3 coil figureing maybe autozone were just bad well i came across the camshaft sensor was melted replace it ran fine for 2 blocks and the ingition coil went again called fords thay told me synchro assembly was bad so i had that fixed { camshaft sensor sits on top of the synchro assembly } got truck back 72 miles down the road ingition coil goes again.. from the first coil i replace it keeps blown the number 2 and 6 on the coil itself.. hope you can help with this mike...

Well obviously if you have blown 2 and 6 on all of the coils it is a problem with the wires or plugs (assuming you are correct about what you are stating) have you check the resistance of the wire? also check plug gap.

Check your ground cable coming off the battery. Make sure all wires have good connections, also there will be 2 smaller wires that come off of the ground side that run along the inner fender just past the batter into a connector. Make sure there is not any corrosion there. Migh not be the problem but would be the first place I would start.

one more question.. when i had all this work done 4link crossmember, brige and so on could the welding on the frame be the problem of the coil cracking because when dave at bonified did the welding he never disconnected the battery he said it was so dead the lights would not come on so he did diconnect it

That is a very good possibility. It MAY have got the computer because it along with everything else grounds to the frame at some point. All of the points I pointed you to in the above post for the PCM ground, goes right to the frame, and since power "flows" to ground it may be what is/has caused all of your problems.

Im have never seen a PCM that was bad that allowed you to start the vehicle. I think you have a problem in the ignition circuit, either a bad wire or plug, could be wrong, but I have seen the coils go because of this before.

I have seen bad PCMs in EEC IV Mustangs and early '90s Buick LeSabre that would let the vehicles start. They just ran like crap. The old smack the PCM with the back of your hand showed it was the PCM when it would go from running bad to good and vice versa.
