thats the probalem with bigger tires. they are harder to turn. its a mater of leverage. as far as adding power steering, it could be a lot of work. first you obviously need a steering pump. you will probably need a new assesory bracket and probably different belt setupthen you would also need the cooler and rack set up. now i'm not sure but i also beleive that you will need a different steering shaft as well. Bottom line is you will need to find the same year truck you have and swipe everything from it.
Another idea is what air pressure are you running in those new tires. The more air there is in them the easier it will be to turn them, BUT you don't want to over fill them, obviosly for safety reasons and they will wear out quicker

Check the scrub radius. You may be able to change the wheel offset, and reduce the scrub radius, which should make steering a bit easier.

now im not all up into the raising and bputting on bigger tires, but what would happen if u did like the trucks that r raised, and added those shocks that help them turn those big a$$ tires

The steering stabilizers don't help turn the wheels, just like shocks don't add payload. Those are just there to dampen shocks to the steering system, and ultimately, the driver.

I'd suggest doing what gunman said, which would require different wheels or spacers, or you can also just buy a powersteering setup. Talk to the guys who have converted from power to non, they can give you the low down on what you will need.

I converted the 83 from non- to power steering, but I was converting a lot of other things at the same time, so YMMV...

I got the power steering pump and bracket from a junkyard (mine came from an 89 I think), the power steering gear box off of EBay, new lines from Auto Zone (89 Ranger was the application), and the (complete) tie rod from an junkyard 88 Bronco II. Everything bolted right up for me...

when we converted micahs truck over to manual we just changed the gear box so essentally all ull need is a power gearbox and the pump and belt system to fit ur motor oh and all rangers with i beams use the same style gear box we used an 86 box on his 94:)

Hey I am looking to go to a non-ps setup on my mazda. I have a power steering pump, links, lines, steering gear box all off a 94 mazda. Wanna trade?
