I have a Fabtech 3" spindle lift right now on my 99 ext cab. I was wondering if i do the 2.5 in addition to the spindle lift will i need a longer drive shaft. Also what would be the best gears to run with the 31's i've got right now? Thanks

What gears do you have now? I think a lot of people have went w/ 4.10. That is what I am going to do when I get the money.

I don't think you'll need a new driveshaft, you may just want to upgrade U-Joints.

What do the gears do that you guys are talking about?

We are talking about the gears in the rear-end. The larger the number the easier they are to turn. i.e. 4.10 gears would make it easier for the engine to turn 33" tires than would 3.73 gears.

don't forget if you do the gears in the rear you have to do the same up front;)

Judging by the fact he has a 3" spindle lift I will assume he has 2WD and no front diff to worry about..

What engine do you have?? If you have a 4.0 you should gear to about a 3.73 w/ 31's but I think that would be a waste, gear to 4.10 so you won't have to again if/when you get 33's... and no you don't need a new driveshaft, how are you lifting the rear though?
