Wondering. Cause I was gonna get 18s on mine and i just looked and mine are 16s and 18s would be like nothing. So I think I'm gonna have to get 20s to have em look good... theyre like 25in tires or something

I have 245/35/20's on a 4-5 drop and they rub on hard bumps (I had to remove somethings and they still rub)

When I first set the truck down it was sitting on the plastic inner fender!

just wore off a set of 275/60/15s(28"x10.5")
and ordering a new set for next year (either 295/65/15 or 305/50/15).

i know my truck's not lowered at the moment. i flipped the hangers in the rear and the truck looked great but it bounced all over the place so i flipped them back to stock for now.
i plan on bringing the rear down somehow and then taking an inch or so off the front to match.

255/30/20 is the lowest profile tire for a 20 they make its also .2 inches lower profile than nittos new 225/35/20 and will also fit a 20 better since all 20's are at least 8 inches wide, just something to consider

255/35/20, and it sits on the ground pretty good. You will have problems with the firewall on the driver side, I have 95 and I am on beams.

Also you have to cut and lose a couple things:afro:

275/60/15 on front and 31/9.5/15 on back doesnt rub on anything, plans call for the 31's to go up front and a set of 32 or 33's for the back soon as the 275's wear out.

what do the numbers in the #/#/# represent? i was just talking about diameter of the tires haha. Like go outside with a measuring tape and see how big they are.

Those numbers are all related. The first is width in millimeters, the second is height of the sidewall expressed as a percentage of the width and the third is the size of the wheel in inches. With those three numbers you can calculate diameter with a calculator if you don't have a computer handy.

You will need at least a +35 offset to tuck and turn some with 18s. I bolted up some 20 x 8.5s on my truck when I had them and they would only fit when the wheels were pointed straight ahead.

225/40/ZR18's on 18x7's front and 275/35/ZR18's on 18x8's rear. Had planned on moving the 8's to the front and using 9.5's in the rear but trying to finish one of my other three projects first.

How much backspacing for a 20x8 for a 95 ranger?

GroundZero
Nov 19 2003, 09:48am
ok For any one with a 1983-1992 eariler today I spent about 3 hours calling wheel manufactures to find out what will and wont fit if You have a airbag Suspension. Depending on How Low Your Ranger Is going To Sit. Out of 6 manufactures They All Agreed that a 17x7 or a 18x7 With a BackSpacing of 4 1/2" Will Work with out Hitting The Fender Lip When Tucking. Recomended Tire Size 225 45 17. Now The One Place I found that I perticuallry Liked Was Centerline. If ya need any info on your Truck Call Their (800) EXT 4 number and ask to speak to RON. He was the most helpfull Now The Manufactures also said that a 8" wide Rim can be used But Most Didn't Recomend it.

if you are just bagged you should be able to run a 8 inch wide rim no prob on a gen I or II
