I realize this post may get a little wild, but I believe there are still people that think this is safe. Please if you do not have the proper tools, smarts or skills leave the work to someone who does.

Oh yea this is the new cover truck on SSM.

Whats with the angled tube further in?

Looks like they might have added that for more supports.

But still, thats not good at all

To me that looks like his exhaust pipes routing through the center..

That is definately some scary stuff.. Sadly the rest of the truck from that pics looks like it would have been done right.. That one thing right there makes the whole truck look like crap.

yep that's what i'm saying. where is a darwin award when you need it. i'd cut the hole in my bed anyday, with a monster notch.
then do that to my frame.

Lets say it together now... Plasma, not sawzal or grinder... so much easier... now can we say support? I dont even have bags and I have a notch. He shoulda spent the money on a notch instead of bags if he couldnt make the ride hold right

Besides the notch and the dizzing zebra print inside, it is an ok looking truck.

Look it is a chevy.. i am proud of myself! It does look good I'll give it that, but feed the zebras to the lions and scrape that frame off... then itll look hella good

WTF...you invest all that time and $$$ into a truck and neglect to get a 50 piece of metal (from 3rdshiftjustoms of course;)) and you risk the integrity of you truck...plus it looks horrible!

i remember that truck cruising by Spiderman and myself several times at Showfest this year. thought it was pretty cool then, but i didn't see the interior or hack job on the frame...all i remember was hearing that damn engine as it went by. as for the cover chick, i honestly could have hit that bitch the day of showfest when we were trying to leave the show. she and her friend were being teases and acting like they were gonna show something, but they didn't and ended up holding up everybody for like an hour....sucks

Thats scary.

I put a notch in my truck last month and i know how scary it looks before you bolt in the notch...

NO WAY WOULD I DRIVE THAT... It will probably fall apart ...

Wow, thats scary... not a bad lookin truck other than that. I would opt for tweed instead of the Zebra fabric.

Guys, that truck made feature in either Truckin' or Mini Truckin' sometime in the past year. I'm about to dig in my stack to find it. I know those wheels AND it was the same, V8'd and blown.

It was February 2003 with the red MADE2DRAG mitsubishi and oh so hot Jaime Medeiros. Unless someone copied that truck exactly, it's the same one, with the addition of the hood mural. You gottta wonder, if someone put that much work into a truck, why they couldn't just notch the frame right???

im no to sure about the notch, but if he is running a 2 link setup then he doesnt have to worry about the frame bending. all the weight of the suspension is on the front hangers not the rear of the frame. all it supports is the bed.

Ninety6Ranger
Nov 20 2003, 01:41am
Yeah I noticed that too... but it wouldnt be that hard to weld some plate's in there so it doesnt look hacked up. Even if it doesnt need the support.

NVR2LOW
Nov 21 2003, 06:35am
i hope its a trailer queen with a notch like that.

BlauSplash
Nov 21 2003, 06:40am
That frame supports the bed, and the big ass gas tank he has in the very back much less if he has the unfortunate experience of being rear ended.
I hope you don't think that is safe since he didn't "have any weigfht back there"
