I've been reading a lot of posts about 5/7 drops and it seems that everyone has a problem with bumping, bending or something. Does anyone have a perfect drop where nothing goes wrong?

well I have a 5/7 with coils and flip kit and 1" blocks... thats right, a 93 with no beams!!! there on the porch & I cant put em on because it'd be too low to drive then mainly because I dont have the stock coils... but mine sure hasnt bent, nothing i have ever had has had the suspension bend. Bumping? the only bumpin is me hittin a twig and hopping but thats because I intentionally ripped off the shocks up front to make it that way

Man southern I am suprised you can even keep tires on.
On the 98+ with the 5/7 drops you won't have those problems if you notch for the tie rods, and the area above the lower arm where it hits. However anything lower than a 4 inch in front will be harder to get aligned. you could always raise your upper arm and inch to get the top back out some, but then that would mean more custom fab work etc...
