Does anyone know what onboard diagnostic standard the '95 rangers are? Are they OBD I or OBD II. My check engine light came on while driving to work, and rather pay top dollar to have a shop look at it, I'd like to get a diagnostic tool and lookup the problem myself. Then if I can't fix, I atleast know what the shop should be looking for.

The ranger is running like normal, my first instinct is that I probably need new oxygen sensors.

First of all, yes it's OBD-2 EEC-V.... Bring it to autozone. They will pull your codes for free....

Thanks...didn't know autozone pulled the codes...hopefully it won't be too costly a repair.

94 is OBDI, huh.. why oh why did my uncle buy a 1994 in november, 1994... if he had just bought the newer model i'd have an airbag and a muuuch nicer interior :( everyone always compliments me on my truck, thinking it is like a 1999, but then they see the interior
