I unhooked that wire that plugs into the tube that goes up to the intake and tried to put a resistor in its place for the optimum fuel curve, you know the 5 hp for 99 cents. Well it pings too much so I went with a smaller one and it still pinged, so I put it back to stock without the risistor and it still pings. I have to run premium gas now. Does anyone got an idea on how to fix it?

First thing to try would be to unhook the battery and let it sit for awhile. This should reset the computer. Then hook the battery back up and let the truck idle for a few minutes then take it for a drive.
