I have a problem with my door sensors.... I think.

Most of the time, when I shut my doors, the dome light stays on and the Door Ajar light stays lit. After about 1 or 2 hours it eventually goes out. But, when it is cold out, I don't have too many problems. Someone told me it was the door sensors, and apparently, they are $200 each. This also poses issues with my alarm because it senses that the doors are open.

hose out the door latch real well w/wd-40...it's real common

Get you a can of CRC Electrical Contact Cleaner & spray down the latch assembly really good. Its a good cleaner with no oil in it that will clean the contacts in there pretty good while at the same time evaporating. Then give it a couple of shots of WD-40. Just a couple, as it is an oil & will later add to the problem should you just hose down the latch assembly.
