I want some bigger brakes in the fron of my Ranger. I heard that Explorer's have bigger brakes up front. According to this however, http://www.therangerstation.com/Brake_Upgrades.html, they are the same size as Rangers @ 10.28".
Anyone have any info?

If I remember correctly, Aaron B said that the brakes off some newer Rangers (I think the EDGE models) came with 11" brakes. It would require you to cop the caliper mounting bracket as well, but I think it would be a relatively straightforward swap. I plan on doing this myself. I'll also probably take it a step further; Powerslot makes the front rotors in this size, and I plan on combining them with Hawk brake pads. An increase in rotor surface area and/or better brake pad material is the ony way you'll notice a gain in the braking dept.
Hope this helps somewhat.

Yep, newer (95-01) Explorer front brakes and brakes off 2wd Rangers that came equipped with torsion bar front suspensions (EDGE, DualSport) use 11.3" front rotors. It should just be a matter of swapping over the rotors and caliper mounting bracket (they use the same caliper)
