ok so the other day i changed from the stock alternator to a high output alternator because my lights and gauges kept dimming with the system turned up. i left work the next day and it started making a noise, i pulled over it was the alternator. to make a long story short, i put the stock one back on but it is still doing the same thing. i know they recommend changing the plug that goes into the alternator when you change it but do i just splice it in or do i need to look for a short. if this doesnt fix it what else could it be??:cussing:

It is always recommended to change the gauge of the wiring for the alternator when replacing it with a higher amp version. As for splicing if and where I have no clue cause I haven't gotten to that part of my upgrade yet.
