Use the lower coils spring mounts from an early 90's f150 to get 1.5" of lift. They run approx $30 from fordpartsnetwork.com You'll want longer shocks, and you might need to get a new bolt that runs thru the i beam to hold down the coil spring, the stock one wasn't long enough on my friends.

Check this out
Coil Spacers (http://www.therangerstation.com/factoryspacer.htm)
That is what I did. You have a 4X4 so your bolt should be long enough. Might as well just go to your ford dealer and get em, because they are only 15 bucks a piece there. Pretty much the only tools you need are an 1 1/8" wrench, and like a 15mm for the shocks. And a couple jackstands. You don't need a coil spring compressor or anything like that. It is fairly easy to do.
