I'm sure the same question has been asked, but why wouldnt the kit work for the pre 98's. I know the intake and computer code is different, but what else. Doesnt the whipple kit replace the lower and upper intake? What else is different?

There is a company working on the kit for the earlier tyle 3.0's using the base Whipple and the new upper intake casting. It should be out about the same time as the Whipple is released.

I think the computer reflash was the biggest hurdle. Whipple mentioned that even going to 98 was a pain because there were so many combination of different equipment they had to deal with. I am interest how another aftermarket company will deal with this. Hood clearence was also mentioned but I don't think anyone actually measured. Could be wrong though, 15 pages is to much for me to read again.

Yeah I remember hood clearance being an issue after reading rogue performance a long time ago. I have a 2 3/4" cowl so I dont think that would be my problem.
