Ok, I picked up a new upper and lower radiator hose, thermostat, and temp sending unit. I got the hoses on (after returning to the parts store because they gave the the wrong lower hose). I'm still debating on the thermo cause the old one still works. I definately need to put in the temp sending unit because mine is shot. Here's the problem...Where is it? I have looked all over and am not sure. I think I have found it, but the piece is much larger than the new unit. So I dont think that is it, unless they gave me the wrong unit too. Here is where I think it is, the driver side of the motor, a little above and in front of the oil filter. It has a 6 sided nut and screws into the block with a wire connector on the end. I'm pretty sure that is it, but the new and old are no where near the same size. Anyone know exactly where the sending unit is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That sounds like the right area, make sure that the unit is for the gague, there is also a temp unit for the computer which is a completly different thing.

That's what the guy at the parts store said, I told him I have the guage, so I hope he gave me the right part. Who knows. Thanks for the help though.

The oil pressure sending unit is right above it, I think that it looks much different than the tep unit. Just pull the lower one out and see if the new one fits. If it is not the right one you can try a ford dealer, they only cost 5 bucks there (since it has been known to go out so much), they would probably know more about what is the right part.
