Time is running out until my exhaust will be put on. I still haven't decided for sure what to run though. It is an 87 4x4, 2.9l, 5-speed. I need the low end to stay, so I am going with 2.25" pipes. The cat will be history and the h-pipe will just go down to one single. The pipe and muffler will be a high as possible and the pipe will have a turn down just before the receiver hitch. The only way to see any of it will be to get under the truck.
The problem I am having is deciding if I should go 2 or 3 chamber. I don't want it so loud I will be deaf, but I do want more volume. I also don't want the weedeater on crack thing happening either. I want a good, throaty tone, but mellow, not overly loud at idle or just driving, but when the throttle is opened up, let it sing.
Ideas? Opinions? ANYTHING? Let me know what you all think.
