I'm running Edelbrock IAS at factory height. No lift or lowered. I was wondering what kinda shocks everyone else is running. Im asking for not just factory hieght, but both lifted and lowered.

Made a noticeable improvement. Have heard KYB and Rancho are good too. Don't know how expensive others are...but Bilsteins were like $60 each ... a bit steep. If rancho or KYB were cheaper I wouldn't hesitate. I only got bilsteins 'cuz they were readily available and a lot of folks had praised them when I did my initial research. Hopefully these will last long enough that I won't have to worry about replacing them for a few years. -Cajun Skyssx Feb 14 2004, 07:44am I got bilsteins all around my 99 ranger stock height 2wd with 15 inch rim and stock sized BFG Excentia GTs. They performed great compared to the stock shocks. Additionally I have Duff traction bars which help wheel hop a lot. I have driven these shocks extensively in America and Germany and they perform great in both countries. I could take twisty two lane roads carving through deep, steep valleys in the black forest and not dip below 60 (the speed limit). Autobahn driving is limited only by my chip and really, really toasted brakes. jharry3 Mar 08 2004, 01:38pm My rear Edlebrocks failed after 40,000 miles. I just put in Bilsteins on the rear. I got a bargain from Truck Performance - 2 for about $75 I like the ride of the Bilsteins better than the Edlebrocks |
