my paint is mirror like.. but dull at the same time... i used mothers carnuba wax, and mequiers gold class... is there anything better or are my expectations too high?

I think I know what you are talking about ! you can skip some of the stage of the wheeing and get a shine, but it's not a deep shine ! It happens to me sometimes when I skip a stage when I'm buffing a program auto on the car lot or the pours in the paint was not clean before you put on the final wax!

First I would take some laq paint degreaser and clean your paint pours ,don't worry about using to many rags ,you need to clean the pours and not spead the the dirt around in them and then put your final wax back on w/ hand or wheel w/final foam pad @ slow speed!If that does'nt work for you then you need to do a three steps sys! good luck wthe shine!!!!!

Both of the wax you used are some of the best you can get for the $.
And a after thought ! you can put on to many coats of wax that will cause a build up ! and then tou need to try the degreaser trick first!!!!
