Take a look at the supercharger system I built. It doesn't look as good as the whipple system but when you don't have $500,000 for development.....

It is just a prototype but its functional. Still have some bugs to work out like getting the EGR hooked up, getting the check engine light to go off, vacuum problem with the heater control not a big deal but it is stuck on defrost, intake tube is a combo of plumbing parts and duct tape (not so world class) and it blocks the oil dip stick tube. Stock throttle body and mass air need an upgrade but other than that I just put lots of 94 in the tank and go.

I have about 10,000 miles on it from summer 03 and I had to take it off for the winter. The cold starts were getting difficult. And winter in NY is no time to loose control of your heater. Now I have to work on making it better or sell it to someone else that has the time. It was a fun project.

what kind of supercharger is that? Eaton M62 or M90 or something else? Why only 5 psi? looks decent after you address the points you mentioned. I feel bad for you guys that put lots of effort into a supercharger and then whipple comes out with a kit for the rest of us that don't have the same ambition. You've got balls though.

The blower unit is an Eaton. I got it second hand off the net so I am not sure what type it is. I went to the GM dealer to get parts for it that were missing and it matched up with a 1995 Olds 98 3.8l.

I only set it up for 5 psi because I had problems with pinging stock. With the compression at 9.14:1 I didn't think I should go any higher on the boost. Dont want to fry the daily driver.

I took a look at the Eaton web page and matched up the dimensions on their print with my blower and it measures like the M62.
