I have made these traction bars for my ranger since I have a flipped rear end. I used 2"x3" .120 wall tubing. I made the length so that the rubber bumper would hit right behind the eyelet of the leaf spring. I wanted to make the bumper hit right on the eyelet, but my 3" exhaust got in the way. It hits about 1" in behind the eyelet.
There is about 1/2" of clearance between the bumper and the bottom of the leaf at rest. They work great. No wheel hop whatsoever. It's awesome in coordination with the Eaton Posi.
