Well, I know I should say that I wasn't looking for any races on the street and that I just happened upon this guy but that would be a lie. I was looking for something since I've cranked this thing up today and put some more fuel in it.

I got on! I was slowing to a stop at a red light when out of the blue a black 99up Silverado with a billet grill, aluminum wheels, lowered stance and step side regular cab truck pulls up. Man I do everything but knock on his window as to entice a race. The light changed and we both just sat there, I was waiting for him to take off as I was gonna blow by him. Anyway we finally pulled away kinda slowly up to around 30mph and then I heard him punch it, he had some big exhaust tips that you couldn't help but hear. I didn't think and just nailed my throttle to the floor, the back end broke loose BAD! I started going sideways at 30mph with my Nitto drag radials (275/40R17's). Well I let up a bit and hammered down on it and just flew past him.I never got past 65mph the posted speed limit but I got there alot faster then he did. I let up and allowed him to catch up but after that he wouldn't even rev it up at me. Hahahahhaa.

Once again I must say thanks to Whipple and Prodrive/Badillo for all the help. I can't wait to get to the track to see what she'll do!

That's awesome Doug! :rocking: The other day I raced a blue Ext. Cab Silverado from the light and he had the jump on me, but for the entire race I was never more than a fender behind him. I CAN'T WAIT to get this thing on. I wonder how hard I could launch with these Pirellis?:naughty:

So the Whipple is the real deal huh? Sounds like it to me. Kinda expensive though. My truck only cost me 3500 dollars.

Well since my truck only cost me $2500 sounds like you were had. I can't put a price on real performance, how much would you spend on an air intake or plug wires for their limited performance. The Whipple can grow with your needs too.

One thing I can't put a price tag on is the look on the other guys face when they get smoked by an XL longbed pickup. ;)
