Corrects/Prevents/Reduces:
Direct clutch failure; soft 1-2, lockup too soft; cut loose 2-3;
delay or bang reverse late shifts; no 4"; 1-3 upshift at light-throttle;
delayed lockup release; chugs engine.

ok still havent heard from mechanic on my trans but seeing he replaced most of front of tranny it aint gonna cost much for Cottman to do the rear fo trans which he admitted he couldnt do but when and if i get the trans all done and back i wanna install this kit which i think might prevent my tranny from dyin again any thoughts also

The transgo kit is a good idea for the A4LD. Also if there was any metal debris in the pan you should replace the converter and flush all the lines and cooler, add a cooler if you don't have one. If you don't do this it WILL shorten the tranny life. Good luck with the truck and let us know how your doing.

yea i definately will im still wiain to hear on truck myself it takes this mechanic forever to do anything after this visit im never goin to him again he put me $1000 in the whle already with tranny and motor work (tol him to start motor while he had tranny apart he didnt so everything clogged up this was 1st time) they still havent cleared up so i gotta have em cleaned by a pro so tranny also failed so i got screwed there then he tells me he dont know how to work on the rear of an a4ld no wonder my damn tranny wasnt shiftin so he took out tranny and took it to cottman i wanted him to take whole truck but he pulled it so it takes longer i think he likes makin me mad and making me wait so ill let you guys know as soon as i find out im gonna give him till monday then ill start bustin his balls

any clue to the price? and how much for tranny shop to install it lol i know your not a mechanic but was just wonderin if you knew

Iffn you don't be getting that shift kit, at least get a cooler. I had the A4LD in my old truck, and I beat the snot outta that there truck. The cooler, IMO saved the tranny. Well, that and regular pan gasket and filter changes. No clue as to cost..don't they have a website?

im prolly gonna call bout shift kit after cottman trans does my transmission being there a 3rd party they have to let my mechanic knoiw then hes supposed to let me know he hasnt called me nor has the truck even been moved in bout 2 weeks i hoope there starting it every coupole days or there paying for it if it dont run

it hasnt come yet for some reason? what day you send it out ill call post office

the shift kit is CHEAP!
I remember checking em out and they were like a +/-$25
