I have a '93 ranger with the 2.3 4 banger and i was wondering if i could swap a duratek 2.3 in without complications???

It would be as hard as any other swap, i know the duartech dont use the same transmissions and the wiring is different, so it probably be more worth wild to swap in a v8

i would go for the 2.3T out of a turbo coupe, you can get more power out of that instead of the duratec, plus its gonna be an eaiser swap, or just throw a 5 liter in there and kick everyones a**

yea but i was thinkin about using the truck for offroad use.. wont the mud/dirt hurt the turbo???

Well, If you had a FMIC and low hanging piping, it would be kinda vulnerable if you bottomed out. Also, you turbo could be safe from dirt/mud if the air intake to your compressor is in a part of the engine bay where it won't get submerged or caked in mud. I'd think you could cover it with something like a heat shield, it would be OK.
