I'm almost done with my manifold. I need to weld in bungs for boost reference lines to various components. I would assume that the manifold above the lower intake would be the boost side. And the inlet feeding into the supercharger would be vacuum side. These are what I've found to need boost or vacuum.

1 Brake booster -vac.
2 PCV/ canister purge -vac.
3 FMU -Boost
4 Boost guage -Boost
5 Bypass valve -Boost?
6 Fuel prussure reg. Vacuum?

5 and 6 I'm not sure which side to put on. I think the FPR needs vacuum but that might be supplied when not at boost. Am I forgeting anything that needs vacuum or boost? My truck has no a/c so theres no vacuum needed there. I just want to have everything clear in my head before I start the install. Thanks for any help.:)

You got them right.

Really? Cool thanks for the help BOSS. Should there be any filter on the PCV line so oil doesn't get all over the rotors of the SC? Or will a little bit of oil increase the efficiency of the unit? I'm taking about how the PCV and canister purge are on the vacuum side which means the vapors from both will be sucked in. Is that going to be a problem at high CFM or am I just over thinking things?

The bypass needs to have a vacuum reference. When it sees vacuum is when it opens to let the extra air through.

You want your FPR to be hooked to a boost source as it can enrich your fuel mixture by increasing fuel pressure as well as the FMU, at a ratio of 1:1. Every little bit helps.

Sounds good, thanks for the responses.

I was thinking vacuum on the FPR, but with a boost bypass valve, strong vacuum will open the bypass and be felt on the boost side, lowering fuel pressure, so sure, go for the bonus!

Another question, can I run each line individually to the boost and vacuum tee or do I have to run one line from the boost tee and branch off of it to the various components? If I have to use one line from the tee in what order should it go in? ie first FMU, second bypass, third FPR etc. Are you understanding what I'm trying to say?

The FMU should have its own dedicated vacuum line, you don't want anything else taking away its signal. Maybe the FMR should too but everything else should be ok.

Brake booster and PCV didn't play well together on my set up. They worked better separated too.

I was thinking having seperate taps on the sc inlet for pcv and the booster. What about the boost side? Is that a yes for one boost line that branches to the other components?
