Does anybody know if one of the aftermarket tranny X members from a ranger will work on an Explorer? I ask because I planned to remove the tortion bar brackets when I install the bags (the brackets hang pretty low), but under further inspection, I realized that part of that bracket also connects to the tranny X member. I dont really mind a little custom fitting (like making new holes to get it to connect with the frame). My main concern is the distance between the frame rails, and the actuall tranny mount lineing up.

The truck is a 98 Explorer Sport.

Thanks in advance for any knowledge you may have.

Yea, I'm actually about to go outside and measure it right after this. I got a feeling it will fit good on the frame rails, its the position of the tranny that I'm afraid of.

btw: this is SmoothKriminal over at FXN. :afro:

OK, I got approx 36" from the outside of one frame rail to the other, and approx 14" from the outside of the frame rail to the driver side trans mount.
