what size rims do yall think look best? what kind of backspacing can be used on a ranger? will the 18's mess up the speedo? i dont want rubber bands either, this is going to be a daily driver

got 245 40 18"s speedo off 2 mph at 65..not bad..235's wold be right on...bigger is better to a point...

18's r my choice. 225/40 on front and 245/40 on rear. the rims r 18x8.5 with 15 backspacing

In my town 18"s with 40 series tires wouldn't last. I got 17"s with 255/50/zr17. I far as I am concerned it rides better than having rubberbands, and when i race a car or truck with 40 or smaller series tires i don't have to worry about pot holes.:afro:

that is my problem too! i live in Louisiana where we have terrible roads. do the 17's look too small? is your truck dropped? if so how much

I have 17's too, i have heard a lot of people bending 18's with 40 series or less, here is a pic of 17's with 235/45 tires

i wasnt planning on going that low! i am contemplating a 2-3 drop not sure though. i want it to look good but still be able to drive my truck. i think 4-5 might be too much b/c of my air dam w/ fog lights. any suggestions? so is the concensus here that i should do the 17's?

go 17's it'll still look sweet and you can get a little bigger tire so that you don't have to worry about bending a rim like Ricky did. Check out his post and you'll see what a bent rim looks like. it's sad really.:bawl:

My 17s look sweet and I am getting a 3" drop back and front today, so as soon as I wash it i'll take some pics and post them.:afro:
