does anyone know if a 4.0L OHV would bolt up to a 4R70W


i've spotted a 94 2wd Explorer with a bad tranny, was wondering if the 4R70W tranny out of my t-bird would bolt-up with minor mods

I really doubt it would line up ... the engines I can think of that the 4R70W is hooked up with are the 4.6, 5.4, 4.2L OHV V6 in F150 (97-04)

To answer your question,, NO the 4r70w will not bolt up to a 4.0L as it has a completely different bellhousing. I'm affraid your stuck with the A4LD
