Is there a reason why you don't allow people to choose their own theme for the forum? I guess I should say that I just can't find it in the User CP. Most forums allow for this.

I must say that I am not a big fan of the way it looks. Functionality, I like, the colors and graphics, I do not. Sorry, guys.

I can't recall the last time, if ever, we had alternative styles available for the forum. We have no plans to change that. We prefer one look for the entire site, easier to maintain and update and this is the current look for now.

Well, just thought I'd ask. I'm a relative noob to this forum, but many of the others I frequent offer you a choice.

BUT, it's your forum, and your money going into it, so it's always your decision.

If the colors are enough to make you leave, then so be it, dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out, we dont feel like cleanign the sh*t stain off the door...

Eh well I have to agree with most everyone else and say I don't necessarily like the colors, but all in all you guys did a great job with the site. Nice to see that some people still take time out to upgrade and change thier websites around. Im glad there are still poeple like you guys who spice things up a bit, just like the guys who redesign Fords because the Ranger would still look like it did back in 93.... wait a second nevermind.

Okay, the part I like less are the graphics. It seems like they're too big. I could probably live with the colors without too big of a headache, but it seems like the forum takes up more space than before.

But hey, like I said before, it's your forum and you can do as you damn well please.

I personally love the colors, then again its almost the exact color of my truck but anyhow its still 100% better that vb2. Maybe we should put up a pole and see what most members would like on here? ...i say keep it this way

The differences in various parts are tiny. Most are the same, or as close as possible. We are talking 10-30 pixels here and there, or about the width of these two smilies :E :E

That's exactly what I was trying to explain on MT a while back. All the extra space between things, and small stuff like the borders around all the personal info on the left of the post.

It's all small stuff, but when you add it together, it's a bigger issue. :loltard:

Also, when I hit "quote" why did I only get what you typed and not the quote from dood that you quoted as well?

Quotes work exactly the same way as before when we had vb2, you quote what the person typed, not their response plus any quotes they may have.

Only the Access based boards quote everything that was previously quoted JPage. One of the boards I'm on is exactly like that, and I'm constantly deleting parts of the quote. Plus it tends to make the posts really long as they accumulate.

This guy's a dumbass. This site is the best I've found for tech advice and opinions from guys and girls from all over the country. I wouldn't care if the new colors were pink and yellow. The color of a border doesn't change all the benefits from this FREE site. We appreciate all the hard work. I'll still be here everyday for sure.

Sounds like the LayItLow forums. They keep quoting each other, and it retains all the quotes. Really annoying. Especially when everything is smilies quoted over and over.

I don't know why I expected it to contain the quote as well. Some of the boards I'm on do, some don't. Probably got confused on where I was. :nutkick:

i really like the new colors and graphics, makes the site look more professional. but mirage19 has the right idea with pink and yellow, so you think you could make the forum colors pink and yellow next time... thatd be great.

Pilots and now some car maufactures use red (as well as purple and a couple others) because it doesnt dialate your eyes..- probibly not the same on a screen though. - haha

Thank you monitors and whoever else helps keep RPS up and running. I really apprechiate all the hrs you spend, insuring that we have a place to ask questions, buy hard to find parts, and post comments.
Thanks again
