Chris Wells Jun 10 2001, 12:16pm Did the flow master bolt right in, or did you have to modify something? I ask because I was going to try the same thing. Is the Flow the same length as the Gibson, and where do the pipes enter and exit the Flow? racenut Jun 10 2001, 03:03pm If ya got a gibson cat back, it is ez to do. I had a gibson cat back, and after a few weeks of haveing it I cut the tail pipe off and put a turn down pipe on wright after the muff. That made it sound better. But I need mo!!! I orderd a flowmaster 40 sires(not the delta) 2 1/2 in and out, Off set in and center out. I just cut the gibson off(with a hack saw), Then the flow just sliped on. Then I put on a dump pipe(turn down) wright after the muff. The gibson muff is longer than the flow. But with the turn down pipe on, I just used the hanger from the gibson and bolted it up to the turn down. Sounds much DEEPER now!!!!!! I like the flowmaster alot better than the gibson. I wish I had just saved my money and got one in the frist place. kscoggins83 Jun 10 2001, 10:32pm So the gibson is a waste of money? I was thining of getting it because nobody around where i live has one. A lot of ppl have flows and i was gonna get somethin different. But tif the flow is better i wil be happy not to have to spend as much. racenut Jun 11 2001, 04:17pm Best thing for the money is to go get a flowmaster 40 sires(or what ever ya like) welded on with a turn down pipe!!!!!! Cheaper than a cat back!!!!!! :D |
