I've been wanting to repair a chip in my windshield but not sure if I should take it in or just repair it myself. I have seen some windshield repair kits that really aren't that expensive. Has anyone ever repaired a chip or crack in there windshield? how did it turn out? is it pretty easy?

call your insurance company. they will usually cover a fix like that without charging you your deductable. It is cheaper for them to have a birds-eye fixed then waiting for it to crack and replace the whole windshield.

as far as cost goes, the last time I paid it was 50.00. I wouldn't mess with the at home fixes.
