I just made an intake adapter for a cone filter to my MAF sensor.... But i need some info on the sensors (I have a 93 2.3L) I know about the IAT sensor on the bottom of the airbox, but there are also 2 sensors on top, or at least 2 wires coming from the top of the airbox. anyone know what these are? Thanks in advance!

Hey, Mike, look close. I believe they're vacuum lines, not electrical. If they're vac lines on the top of the box, they're used to activate a flapper door on the intake. At "low" temperatures the flapper will switch to draw air off the exhaust manifold and heat up the motor. (I think the fours have a tough time getting the cat warmed up on cold days).
When I put my cone filter on, I used a golf tee to plug the vac line from the engine. The other vac line (to the flapper) can just be deleted. Piece o' cake...

when i did my intake i totally removed the stock air box. the one is a vacuum line that opens the flap in the heater hose that warms the intake air when it is cold, i can't remember what the other one was but i removed it also. the iat sensor i just removed and zip tied it as close to the filter i could. i never had a problem with it, i started getting intermittent check engine lights and thought that was the problem so i removed the intake and it turned out to be the 02 sensor and nothing to do with the intake at all. good luck
