Last night I finished the fab work and installed my M90 on my 94 B4000 4X4, and what a difference in power not as fast my turboranger but a lot better. So far I have not done any tuning it is all stock no FMU or chip, I am not gettting any detonation however I am trying to contact the poeple at Bama Chips but the website is dwon, is there anyther way to get ahold of them? It fit under the stock hood with no scoop just a 2" body lift. I have some pics but I am unable to upload them to the new/old server if someone could give me a hand with that it would be great! :friday:

Start saving up for a new motor.
There is NO WAY your stock computer, maf, and injectors are providing the correct amount of fuel for a supercharged engine.

Upgrade your fuel system before contacting him and getting any tunes done. You are going to want everything perfect before the tune instead of trying to upgrade afterwards. Learn from me, get everything done before the tune:)

I hate to tell you this but you can't get a tune from BamaChips for your truck because Doug doesn't do "chips" through the mail because there's too many problems trying to get the tune right via the mail. If the tune is a little off you're stuck sending the chip back for a reburn and sometimes it can take more then a few burns to get everything right.
Where in Canada are you??

Not to mention it's an EEC-IV truck. Your going to have a tough time getting a chip. And as everyone has mentioned, even with a chip your injectors aren't going to hack it. You will need 24 lbs injectors minimum but I'd suggest 30's just to be on the safe side. Not to mention if your running a stock maf, it probably pegs the meter at about half throttle. Tuning for that will be a pain.

Ahhh, yeah forgot about the EEC-IV's. If you're anywhere close to the Detroit border then you could come over here and have PeteC tune it. Im gonna have him tune mine when I get some money. But its just an idea....shoot Petec a PM.

I live between Toronto and Ottawa so that puts me about 5hours from Motown, I know it is kinda a swear word around hear but I might just throw a FMU on it or sell the whole set up and the truck and buy another 4cyl ranger turbo swap it, I miss my turbo truck bad!! Oh ya and if someone could help me post some pics it would be great I would to see what you guys think of my fab skills or lack thereof. :secret:

FMU's work. They aren't an exact science but with some time on the dyno they can get the job done. That's honestly the easiest option you have right now. As for the tuning, it doesn't matter who does it, finding EEC-IV codes can be a pain. You might get lucky though and have one of the more common codes. Some of them, they flat out can't get.

thanks wed, who would be a good person to talk to about buying the right FMU? I am not looking for all out power. I just built it to have little more power to turn larger tires, because I found the stock 4.0 in my loaded 4x4 a little guttless. I know I must do something about the fuel system however I filled it up with 94 and have been driving it around all weekend taking it fairly easy and I get no sign of detonation at all, truck drives like it has a stock 5.0 in it.

you can also get a kenny bell boost-a-pump which will increase you fuel pressure thru added voltage vs added restriction to get more fuel pressure .... added restriction will cause your fuel pump to wear out faster
