I have Reybestos, around $40-50. Pretty good, IMO.

JC Whitney sells some TI pads. i have had great luck with TI pads on my bike's disc brakes, so they should be good for cars too (i downhill a bit and they barely get hot after a long run clamping the stoppers)

they are like 26 bucks a set or something. check them out, it may be worth the 30 bucks for all of us to know how they are.

P.S. once you get new pads, dont forget to "set" them, or they will feel crappy and not work as well as they should, and get a reliable mechanic to install them. or do it your self, but DONT mess up, cuz if you do, your screwed.

and trynot to touch the rotors or the pads, cuz finger oils and whatnot mess up the stopping abilities. happens on my bike all the time.

I used the TI pads from JC Whitney on my 94 Splash, they worked good and didn't leave as much dust everywhere.

You can use slotted rotors for mustangs for most applications since the bolt patterns are the same, just check the size and don't get huge rotors.

I use Wagner or Bendix pads. Reasonably priced at around $35 a set for semi-metallic and available at Trac Auto and most other places.

I just took a set of these off my truck (normal replacement). Seems to me they don't stand up to heat very well, as they were cracked all over the place. I don't think I'll be using them again. I generally run Raybestos Pro Stop semi-mteallic pads with no problems ($22 at Pep Boys).

See other threads on the GD board for drilled/slotted rotor info. Brakes seem to be a hot topic this week.

Nope; not interchangeable. The rotor style is different; the hubs (at least on the pre-95) are integral to the rotor. Mustang rotors are not made that way. Brandon Miller could offer a better description, and says he has a way to make them work with a lot of machining.
