man I just recently wanted to do a v8 swap on my ranger but I dont know what all I will have to do really I almost afriad that getting the motor might be the easy part. Its the other stuff like wiring and the drive shaft length I am mostly worried about. so if anyone can help please reply it would really help. or even any websites to point me in to the right direction.

If you'd spend 5 minutes searching, you'd discover that the Explorer swap is a plug and play deal. Buy a wrecked explorer, transfer motor over, plug it in, drive it. It's slightly more detailed than that, but you get the idea.
