hey guys whats up im looking to swap a carbed 302 into my bagged and body dropped ranger basically for the sole purpose of getting rid of all that ugly wiring from under the hood and i want that v8 rumble. so now that i have got that out of the way what i wanna know is that if i just put in a stock 302 is there anyway i can use my stock 5spd tranny?? the truckwill only be driven at shows and what not and im not going to drive it hard when i do. i just didnt konw if i could use it or not. and if not how much work is it going to take to get a c4 in there?? sorry for the small book lol and thanks for any help i can get

Well, you cannot use the stock tranny, it just will not bolt up to a 302. The C4 souldn't be a problem. Every swap is different your engine position and other factors all effect how much room you have. I suggest putting the engine in location to work best and then have the drive shaft shorted, but it all depends, theres options. Just do a search and I'm sure you'll find out more about getting the C4 in there. Hope I helped. Good Luck with the swap. ~ Joe
