you fellas always got good answers so... i ran the obd/II scanner on my 99 expo 4x4 came back as > "dtc PO741 TORQUE CONVERTER CKT PERFORMANCE OR STUCK OFF" what the hell does that mean, or how do i fix it, maybe a stuck solenoid? any help is greatly app. thanx. ohh yeah the o/d light blinks when ever it feels like it, and the trans. clunks into gear... whenever the o/d light blinks

I am having similar issues with my 99 ranger. I suspect some issue with a sensor but don't know what to check. After reading some other threads I have replaced my abs sonsor but this did not correct the issue. Also my 4 lo will not engage. Is there any sensor anyone knows about that could be responsible for these two issues.

After reading some other posts, does anyone think that this could be a symptom of a bad TCC solenoid??? any assistance would be appreciated.

Sounds like the torque converter lock up clutch isn't working.
