Dunkinuts Jun 02 2005, 12:42pm how is that funny. Its over use of force. There is no need to keep stun'n her. I mean come on. if they arrested her then they could have pulled her out of the car.
nw99ranger4x4 Jun 02 2005, 12:42pm Wow thats a great video, I love the forum discussions over there. Some people are so damn ignorant its just ridiculous. If the lady would have been respectful and obeyed the officer's command she wouldnt have been tazed.
Personally I see this crap all the time around my college campus, people thinking they can tell authority that they will do what ever they want and that the authority figure (police, security, instructor, etc..etc.) are wrong and dont know what they are doing. Man it makes me so mad.... this is all i have to say to that ignorant woman :stfu: thats whats wrong with this country, people thinking they are above the law and then suing the crap outta the gov't so now our police officers are to scared to shoot someone.
A good friend of mine is a cop here in Seattle and i was out with him and some of his buddys from the station. They all said that they have never fired on someone because they feer that they will lose thier job, bc of law suits. Thats total BS if you ask me.... :cussing: I say we need to start firing away more often....
my .02 cents
Epic18s Jun 02 2005, 12:52pm OMG that has got to be the highlight of my day!
nickg239 Jun 02 2005, 01:04pm I think mace would have worked just as well.
Playaa311 Jun 02 2005, 01:08pm Glad two of you saw the humor in it.. I thought she got what she deserved.. If she didnt act ignorant then she wouldnt have gotten stunned.. And he didnt "keep stunning her".. He hit it twice.. Both times when she ignored orders.. She deserved what she got and I give alot of credit to the officer for doing what he should..

That's no where near over use of force. There was no force involved. With any experience at all you could see right away that she was going to be resistant to ANY type of apprehension and was not cooperating.
Pulling her out of the car would have definitely gotten her physically hurt as well as them.

I do agree with you, but I just tend to think mace would have worked just as well to take her into custody.
I guess I don't lke the tasers too much, awhile ago someone died around here after the dallas cops used it on him.

I agree,
I guess this could go with my thread in the off topic forum......
CuBanLinX98 Jun 02 2005, 04:39pm damn i live in boynton....no more speeding for me.......ZAP!
runinwitponys Jun 02 2005, 05:52pm i think she got what she deserved the cop asked her to get out and she didnt. all mace would have done was probably pisser off and have her start swinging her hands. but when the cop pulls his weapon you should know hes not playin around
fzr confused Jun 02 2005, 06:22pm thats great :yup: if they used "force" to get her out, you know she would have (if she is not for this) tried to sue and maybe would have won....with the taser she doesnt get hurt. i live kinda in the area, and palm beach county has a SH*T load of undercover cars like that....they are all over. i am friends with several sheriffs in PBC and they have tried to count how many they have, and they cant there are just soooo freakin many....i also like how she "tries" to tell the dude how to do his job :ugone2far . i cant stop watchin it . as much as i "dislike" being pulled over, i am REALLY glad most of the police cars have the camera's, which makes it much harder for ppl to get away with sueing the police department. i have had my fair share of tickets and run ins with police, but what do i do? i pay the tickets and deal with it ;)
Ranger72 Jun 02 2005, 06:53pm Bahahahaha that was great... I think they did exactly what they should have done. Now about this undercover cobra! Glad I dont live there, Its bad enough that here on long island I have to keep a look out for under cover impalas (new style) as well as crown vics!
pinellas50 Jun 02 2005, 10:09pm I think mace would have worked just as well.
Then you obviously have never personally experienced both of these. I have. I had to take both before I was issued them.
I took the hit from the tazer. Then I immediately put both the OC spray and baton in the glove box. The tazer is awsome in both control of the bad guy and no one, including the bad guy, getting hurt.
There is a whole lot of ignorance as to what a tazer does. It's all brought on by the media. The belief that tazers kill people is horse s**t. It puts out about 1/20th the voltage to even effect a pace maker.
I don't have time to give a disertation on the thing. I can only tell you that if you have that little red dot pointed at you(they have a laser sight), stop what you are doing and follow orders! You do NOT want to be on the receiving end of one!
As far as too much force needed. He was fine under Florida state law. Once you are stopped, you are required to properly identify yourself and necessary paperwork. Failure to do so, as was this case, is arrestable. I personally would have waited a bit as the scenario was presented. But there was more to the story than what you see on this. It's been all over the radio for the last 2 days.
Jwad00 Jun 02 2005, 10:12pm She got what was coming to her.
Need 2 B Lower Jun 03 2005, 12:28am on the website it explains why he didnt use mace, force, etc. He did his job right and she got what she deserved. If she were obeying the law in the first place (not driving due to a restricted license) then none of it would have happened. The officer also claimed she tried to hit/slap his partener...big no no. She deserved what she got...and that was an attitude adjustment.
fzr confused Jun 03 2005, 08:18am Now about this undercover cobra! Glad I dont live there, Its bad enough that here on long island I have to keep a look out for under cover impalas (new style) as well as crown vics!
so far, the ones i have personally seen are:
2 03-04 saleens (1 yellow, 1 red)
1 wxr sti (blue HUGE wing)
1 97 cobra (cameleon paint, lights pop up from the sun roof)
1 97ish civic si (black, turboed running in the 11's)
1 viper (red with the lights on the visors)
SEVERAL dodge rams and dakota's (some jacked up, some lowered)
SEVERAL z-28's
there is even rumors of undercover cops on crotch rockets
there are a few more that i cant think of at the momeny.....but hey, you play you pay :nixweiss:
Dunkinuts Jun 03 2005, 08:54am the cops around my way have mustangs and the next county have vettes. But i said over use of force b/c i didn't have sound. But its funny in a way ;)
vp6799 Jun 03 2005, 10:32am She should have listened to the officer. She got what she desreved.
But that's my opinion.

yeah, and lets just hope its the jurys opinion too....i would hate for our tax paying money to go to that b*tch :bs:
Playaa311 Jun 03 2005, 11:09am We have a few cops around here who have lights in their personal cars, but none that are agency issued.. FZR.. are the cars you are talking about gov issued or just personal officer cars? It got me wondering about the video.. they guy is in an 03/04 cobra.. You would think its his personal car, but then again he is training the guy w/ him.. Now why would he be training in anything other than a gov issued car? Down here there is one guy who has a Honda Del Sol (all kitted out etc..).. Hangs out w/ everyone then arrests people who race.. haha.. All of us know him and know what not to do.. But you will have these newbies come into town and act like fools.. off to jail they go.. Then we have a guy who has a new C6.. And one that has a C5 ZO6.. They run at the track w/ us regularly, but mess w/ them on the street and you can guarentee you will find trouble..

Ranger72 Jun 03 2005, 12:56pm i just remembered, there are a couple of state trooper LT1 camaros. But those arent all that common to see on Long Island. Suoffolk county (here were I live) and Nassau county (west portion of the island) have the 1rst and 3rd highest paid officers in the country. Suoffolk cops make roughly 55K a year starting and within three years are making in the triple digits. I guess thats why we dont have any "special" cop cars around here. And amen to that!
fzr confused Jun 03 2005, 02:57pm those cars around here are the 1's they pick up from drug busts and street racing. these cops will try to get you to race, then bust your ass.
TRinityMtrSprts Jun 03 2005, 09:21pm LOL
that stupid batch!!!
she totaly got what was coming to her.... he shoulda tazzed her ass again when she wouldn't stop crying!!! ahhh i wanted to hit that trick!!! (and i never hit females) but in all honesty she should have just listened to the officer and GOTTEN OFF HER PHONE... like who does that!!! really!@!
i have no sympathy for her
kudos to the cop
Ranger289 Jun 03 2005, 10:25pm ive been tazered. it isnt as bad as that chick made it seem. like a 5 sec zap and its over. it sucks i can tell you that.

Playaa311 Jun 06 2005, 01:12am Ty.. none of them go out to Depot.. They mope around Byram.. The Del Sol is the only one that really tries to get people in trouble.. The two guys w/ vettes dont.. But if you decide to mess w/ them, they wont hesitate to stop you..

2001RangerMan Sep 21 2005, 06:35pm Damn dude you have a friggin 1300? those are awsome whats the 0-60 on those like 2.3? and the top speed is like 186? I heard you can put a supercharger on those and get like 300-330 horses out of them lol.
PowerRANGER9 Sep 21 2005, 07:14pm wow.
bzzzzzzzz zzz zzzzzzz zzzz iz sorryzzz officerzzzz.
lol, always give respect to officers that pull you over you will get off 50% easier in most case's.
campbellst87 Sep 22 2005, 04:12pm Wow I hate cops.
2001RangerMan Sep 22 2005, 07:43pm whoa when did this convo turn in to cop bashing campbell? I think he did his job right and if you do respect them they will help you out even if you were going 78 and in a 55 so they marked you down to 68 (i was lucky lol) because you were respectful and he waqs nice.
campbellst87 Sep 22 2005, 07:52pm Some of them are good guys, thats true. In my experience though, a lot of them are just out to get you any way they can.
Need 2 B Lower Sep 22 2005, 08:16pm a lot of them are just out to get you any way they can.
Which, if your breaking the law, is their job...
campbellst87 Sep 22 2005, 10:48pm Which, if your breaking the law, is their job...
True, but it is also their job to be professional and courteous about it when possible, and many times they are not. Also, it is not their job to suspect everyone they do not like the look of of a crime.

Any officer i have ever delt with treats me the way i treat them. And in the world today, you cant trust anyone. Just because a guy is driving a bmw and wearing a suit does not mean hes innocent.
CruzNlife1 Sep 22 2005, 11:56pm I live in palm beach, this is old news. Like FZR said, they're EVERYWHERE, a bunch of lifted dodges and ****. Palm beach sherriffs office owns 3 yellow cobras. They were bought NEW for the county. They are used to bust speeders and street racers. I remember the when it was on the news last year when they got them. They have so many different types of cars and yeah they get the cars from the drug busts and ****. That wasnt very far from my house at all, I woulda done the same, I thought that was absolutly hilarious, when she was crying, I would've tazed the hell out of her again
PowerRANGER9 Sep 23 2005, 04:52am ^^ That's not right lol.
Anyways, it's true if you respect a cop and dont act like a total punk you will be surprised what you can get out of. I've had cops give me plenty of warnings and marked down speeds to so i wouldnt be penalized. Dont break the law then you have nothing to worry about, but if you do dont be a dumb ass and mess it up more. Have you ever watched cops, half the times cops are doing a routine stop because of something small like a headlights out dadada, but then the civilians run. Then they get busted for something else and prison time. They broadcast that show for a reason, so alot of peeps smart up and learn the law.:)
LoRanger Sep 23 2005, 07:13am Wow I hate cops.
I don't believe you'd have a reason to hate them unless you were breaking the law. As for the tazing, I think the officer did what he should have. People need to learn to respect law enforcement. Hopefully this situation will send a message to someone else thinking of running their mouth. :read:
campbellst87 Sep 23 2005, 08:00am My main issue is the violation of the fourth amendment that occurs so often.
ghostranger04 Sep 23 2005, 01:02pm wow

As a peace officer I guess I will speak my mind. I was staying away but there is no reason to bash a officer. Think of all the **** that guy has to deal with everyday. Hell think of it like this, most people go to work with the thought of getting their reports done or projects done so they can go home. When I go to work I HOPE to get to go HOME. Tomorrow could be the day I die. We, as law enforcement officers have to be watchful of everyone. You sit down and watch the videos you don't see on TV that I have to watch where a women just like that yells, gets mad, then pulls a gun and kills a officer. YOU NEVER KNOW. That guys did what is right. The bottom line is you should obey what is asked of you. I'm not a ******* and will let alot of things slid if the guy just answers honestly and does what is asked. Don't bash a cop until you sit in his shoes. We live under a magnifing glass, where one mistake can cost you your career or even worse my life.
Mightygreenrang Sep 23 2005, 01:49pm My main issue is the violation of the fourth amendment that occurs so often.
Care to explain?
campbellst87 Sep 23 2005, 03:14pm Care to explain?
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
Thats straight out of the constitution, but many cops think they are better than it. Either that or they will try to trick you out of your rights by saying "if you don't let me search your car, I'm going to arrest you". I have personally seen this or something like it more than a few times.
I realize that police are necessary to maintain a society in which everyone can enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, I do not think it is a bad thing that they "live under a magnifying glass", and I srongly agree that one mistake should end the career of an officer. With power comes responsibility, and some cops (at least ones I have dealt with) need to be reminded of the second part of that statement.
I am in no way trying to "bash" anyone on this site, especially those who are police officers. I respect you and others who share your profession, until you try to violate my Constitutional Rights as an American.
Mightygreenrang Sep 23 2005, 08:57pm So you think everytime you are pulled over I shouldn't be able to search you or your vehicle correct, without P.C. Hum, ever heard of Terry vs Ohio? the landmark case that gave Police officers the right to frisk people and the area in their immediate control. I do agree there are bad officers out there, but we do things for our safty. If you have nothing to hide why ON EARTH would you not let a officer search your car? Saying no makes a officer have Reasonable Suspesion. Now I don't think everyone stopped should be searched every time they are pulled over, but a good cop only asks to search if he/she has a good reason too, ex. P.C. Hell I can't even pull you over unless I have P.C.
campbellst87 Sep 24 2005, 12:04am Honestly, the only reason I wouldn't give you permission to search my car is because I don't have to.
It is my understanding that Tery v. Ohio gave police the right to search someone without a warrant or PC but only if the cop can justify their suspicion that the person is carrying a concealed weapon.
So correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to have a warrant, my permission, PC, or suspect me of carrying a concealed weapon in order to search my car. Fine, that makes sense. BUT, many-a-cop will pull this kind of "suspicion" out of their ass when they want to search a car after pulling it over and they legally have no right to do so.
Adam Baker Sep 27 2005, 05:52am I think its time to close this thread. I think the woman got what she deserved. So we'll all leave it w/ that.
