1. is the 302 and 351 diffrent sizes like how they fit wise? what ones easyer to fit?

2. my stock front suspension, will i need to stiffin it up to put a v8 in? if so will a single spring and shock change do the trick? i really dont wanna replace the suspension.

thanks alot

**EDIT*** Forgot to mention its a 1988 ranger ext. cab.

is this a four wheel drive truck? ext cab springs should be fine. a 351 will fit but some people have problems with the steering shaft and headers on both sides. if you wanted to and had the money a 460 would fit.

the 351 wider and taller than a 302 but not more than a few inches

the transmission and the drive line make a difference on what headers you can run. if you can weld you can come up with alot of options.

i'm surprised you didn't find a topic on this. i know there are several.

hey thanks man, if i have to move my steering for a 351 ill stick with the 302 i geuss, im learning how to weld, my dad knows how to pretty good but he dosnt like alot of work unless its his cars lol how hard would it be to move the steering shaft over though? i gotta re-locate the steering box and all? i just ask cuz the 351 is a bit cheaper to re-biuld. nice to know my stock suspension will work :) looks like this will go pretty good so far, i added you to my AIM list, my name is diablo2evos on there could u message me so we cant talk? thanks a bunch ill be on for a few probly. :smokin:
