I need to find a harness for my 5.8L/AOD swap into my 92 Ex. I am not able to find any mustangs but i found a crap load of t-bird/cougar/mark 7. Can i use the harness and ECU from these vehicals and still be able to do a mass air conversion????Will i have to change the ECU in the swap????Can i use the mustang A9P or will it not work???What is the best ECU for what i am doing?

HELP ME PLEASE.....

pretty much any ford harness can have wires added into it and made to work with a v-8 with the proper wiring diagrams. as long as they are the same kind of computer eec-iv or eec-v. i got mine printed out by the local ford dealer. if your using an aod its not electric so the computer doesn't care as long as you have two 02 sensors for an auto and one for a manual. if you use a mustang comp that is mass air you need to have a mass air meter and 19 lbs injectors that are matched so the computer works. hope that helps.

Yes that helps. I can go get a harness and pcm from any 5.0L HO car and use it.Then i can do a mass air swap on it at a later time. They have an old artical in MM&FF that they played arround with a 91 Mark 7 and did a mass air swap.

Thanks
