Anybody know anything about turboing a SOHC. I have a guy I know willing to help me fab a kit, all I gotta pay is parts.
Oh and the guy has alot of experience building turbo cars and trucks, including his custom plumbed 390RWHP MR2.

It has not been done that I'm aware of, at least not in a Ranger.
I think I read of an explorer with a rear mount turbo setup on it. But I could be wrong on that.

Starting off with the basic's you're gonna need a Turbo, Wastegate, By-pass valve, boost controller or a bunch of spirings for the wastegate, Mandrel bent tubing for the fabbing, flanges, Injectors, MAF, intercooler(not neccessarily), probably a Return style fuel system conversion, and one hell lof a tune.
It's a lot of money even for the parts. I too am planning on fabing up a turbo kit for mine this winter too so....

That's pretty cool and I like those hp numbers but where are they mounting the turbos, I couldn't find any pics of that truck from the underside. Very kick ass to see a twin turbo ranger though.I'm starting to wonder how possible it would be to run a single turbo behind the engine next to the tranny where the stock exhaust merges.

nice setup except the smt6 is a absolutely garbage engine management system though. (made the attempt to use it on the bimmer and couldn't ever get it to work right)

I guess thats the only really answer to my question, build it and try it.
If you build it, it should RUN!! And FAST!!
