Oh and anything special i need to know about swapping the 2 motors tips tricks all that good stuff?

Well, I can tell you the engines are identical, except some have one ignition coil on both sides of the engine and others have both of them on the passenger side front of the engine.

Hey EatnS10s you've often come to answer some of my questions b4 and as always your damn rite!! you know your **** man. however i thinki can move the coil packs to where the original motor had them...i felt around down there and there seems to be bolts that hold the platform that the coils sit on(on mine anyways) so i would go on an educated guess that the motors all come from the same mold and there would be holes in the Mustang block in the same place. Damn i got a good deal on the motor 68,000 Km's with the tranny for $600.00 so like $350.00 US i dont think thats too bad of a deal.

That's a very good deal. Sheesh, if I could get one of those. I would like to try and rebuild a new motor for my truck when the current one decides to crap out. Either a high performance (cough this is an oxymoron) 2.3 or rebuild a 4.0 to stock specs and do that swap.
Glad to know i'm good at something. lol. I spend too much time on these boards and under my hood looking and dreaming. lol

hey man, y dont you just bolt up your tranny to the mustang 2.3L. Unless that is what you were planning to do, i may have missed something. I think that would be the best thing to do

Hey buddy i need your help here. The 91 Mustang engine that i purchased has some different things on the motor than mine does. Lets see like a few extra round plugs on the intake manifold side. This motor came off an auto. There is four or so on the new one...mine has 3, tops. there snap together plugs...plastic round and multi colored grey black brown, each plug has that certain color and there all close to the injector rails. Can you or anyone help out with this explaining why theres more and do i need to use all of them?

Could these be just platic clips for holding certain things like wires and the such? maybe supporting the auto tans dipstick? Just a thought. Have no clue exactly.

Well that other problem i had is kewl now ...i just swaped wiring harnesses, no problem, but while we were pulling the old motor out we managed to screw something else up. Broke the hydraulic clutch cable at the slave cylinder, oh joy! Oh and get this, it seems its a dealer only part...nothing open till Monday now, all these damn setbacks are really pissing me off. I thought planning for a weekend thing would be plenty...but nope.
