Greetings.

I have had Ranger and Explorer 4x4s all my life and have come to a time in my life where I am going to need something with 4 seats. No NOT a minivan :). Ford is looking to lose my long time loyalty with their no Crew Cab option inthe Ranger. While the Sport Trac is a logical choice, I do not like it.

The regular explorer is a good choice but I am not a fan of the AWD system they have. As my 1993 Explorer had a good old fashioned 4x4 or 4x2 system, I dread the AWD and stability control systems that the newer Explorers have.

Does anyone know if that is a matter of pulling a couple fuses?

Any input would be swell.

I would love to find a nice B2 or gen1 explorer 4x4.

Saw this on another board, can't remember. Someone from Southern Cal. bought or was acquiring a cab and four doors from a junkyard in Mexico...

Might be the only way or buy one in Mexico and pay the import fee.
