Duratec owners got some questions for ya. Do you know if the duratecs use high ohm or low ohm fuel injectors? Can you use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on your motors. Also how pressed are you for space behind your ac say to mount a turbo setup. i saw a picture of a duratec and it looks very limited because of the ac. So can any post some pictures of their duratec motors both exhaust side, intake side, a frontal shot and a overview from above shot. Thank you guys Ryan

I don't have any A/C pics, but it is VERY tight back there, and unless you get an XL, A/C is standard on all Rangers now. This is what I was able to dig up online:
The fuel injection system in Duratec has injectors with a two-hole design to deliver a twin-spray pattern directly toward the twin inlet ports of each cylinder for a better fuel-air mixture and efficient combustion. This offers excellent drivability and low emission. In addition, an optimized knock control system continuously adapts the engine's operating parameters in real time for maximum performance and efficiency.
The Duratec features a highly responsive electronic 'Drive by Wire' throttle. The relationship between the pedal and the throttle-opening angle has been specifically calibrated to deliver the ultimate balance between fuel economy and performance.
I'm pretty sure the stock ECU uses high-impedence injectors.

blueman could you get me some pictures. I'd really appreciate it. Any one else if you could get some picture mainly of the exhaust side of the engine but of everything would be great. my main two are exhaust side and above shot. Do you think there is room blue man or anyone else to mount a log turbo manifold with the turbo ran it under the manifold and not on top because of the ac or could the ac be moved lower so you could mount the turbo top mount style on the turbo log manifold. Thanks a lot guys.

I can try and get pics but I agree with him it is very tight. There is just not a whole lot of room anywhere under the hood for a turbo.

not even if the turbo was mounted under the manifold and not on top. now if there was no a/c then would it have the room needed?
try to image this lol.

I will take photos tomorrow, there isnt much room under there...do you need a return line to run a FPR, i believe the duratech is a returnless system...

ok thanks twenturbos. Does any one know if one the duratech run a returnless fuel system and two if you can add a FPR to a returnless fuel system. i rememeber there is some problem in doing so. But i also rememeber there some how was a way because neons are returnless and some how i forget you could add one to them. Thanks guys.
