Can you turbo charge the new 2.3DOHC engines? or is it a long drawn out process like the mid to late 90's models?

just asking if 2.3DOHC were easier to work with it would be worth trading up to one then turbo charging considering the DOHC put out a bit more HP then the Single cams

Ladies and gents. I would not advise turboing anything with more than 8.0 ish to 1 compression. Detonation and destruction will likley be the result. The tuurbo guys may want to speek up here but I think most of the turbo rangers are engines from the Ford and Mercur camp in the form of the Turbo Coupe (thunderbird) and the XR4TI. Ranger + turbo = bad.

stock ranger 2.3 + turbo = chaos and bad things.

do a swap. you'll thank yourself later. plus someone will want to buy that dohc mill.

Tell that to the people that turbo their LS1 and such cars, running 10.5.1 CR, it just takes enough fuel and proper tuning. Altho on the Duratech, your fighting a space issue and the cost to HP gain factor just isnt there, but feel free to prove this entire board wrong!
