E85 is running about 10 cents more than unleaded 87 octane which is about 2.40. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Here is a list of site with info on E85 gas. I tired use it in my 02 explorer but it drop MPG from 17-18 to 14-15. Still with the cheaper price it didn't pay to use it.

CNN had some talk about E85 today. Something about how congress may help popularize it to aid us in getting away from a dependency on foreign oil. They also talked about car makers setting up cars to run it.

I would like to run in my truck but haven't found any pumps around Austin yet.

I too have heard it can gum up your engine and cause poor fuel mileage. So im not sure about it. The E85 website says it runs from 100 - 105 octane and lowers fuel economy by 10 -15 %.

I live in the dallas area and have never seen it at any stations around here. My truck has 111,000 miles and have never had the chance to use it in my flex fuel.

Citgo station, E85 is running $2.35 Regular unleaded is $2.45 for some reason the price of E85 fluctuates with the price of regular, when E85 doesnt depend on drilling and such. It is always about ten cents cheaper than regular unleaded.... stupid gas stations!

I hit Indiana once a week for work. Gas comparitively in the Chicago area is around 2.39 versus 1.99 in Highland for 89 octane. Tried out the E-85 out of interest once and regretted it. Much lower gas mileage, I usually get about 300mi. per a full tank versus about 220 for the E-85 and my truck started rough the morning after filling up. Overpriced and low mileage fuel if you ask me. Shouldn't fuel that is 15% gas and 85% corn alcohol be much lower priced instead of a lousy 10-18 cents?????

Just so you know it was expected to get lower milage, that isn't the reason it's here.

there's 2 stations around here, one in Oswego (gas city) for 1.68 and one in Naperville (thorton's) for 1.85.

My milage went down quite a bit, E85 is around 1.75 per gallon here in dallas erea. I went back to regular cause the gas gauge you can almost watch move down when your driving. I was lucky to get 200 miles to a tank.

Started putting E85 in my truck again, seems to give it more power due to the much higher octane, i think its 104 or 105 or close to it.
