click the image in his post to get the full size one for photoshoping.

I am almost at my wits end as to what else I can do to this one though.

so far I've kept it simple but I can't seem to think of what it needs to push it over the edge.

Done with mine. This is the first Photoshop (I think) where I didn't even change the color. That red just looked too dang good...

Aug 03 2006, 11:52pm
it was really hard for me to come up with something that would stand out without being too extreme!

I actually wanted to try to find something to push it just a bit further.

pretty anxious to see what everyone else came up with.

oh young grasshopper...do you not see the period of ellipses...perhaps there were 4 colors...maybe 10...maybe a trillion...okay, not a trillion...or 10...or 4....yeah, there are 3...i'm really tired, and this is really funny to me...just humor me...

the real trick that i use is to try and not colorize anything, and just use the slider bars...this keeps the reflections real good. Also, try layering paint. Do blue over green and then make the top layer overlay, or colorburn, etc...this gives some cool effects.

seeing as how I've already given you my entry to post you seen my paint extensiveness and that's about the most I do.

I just don't see how GraphicDisorder does it so perfectly...I can remember back when nusensed and camberbrandt were doing thing real simple.

did you guys go to school for it or something?

NVR2LOW
Aug 04 2006, 01:06pm
just use the sliders and layers to do it, there is also a tutorial on it stickied on the ps page. i think most of us are self tought, i know i am. just reat tutorials and try them, as you do things you figure out ways to make other things happen. ive come up with my own ways to chop and section just about anything, you just have to work at it a little.

dakotahq
Aug 04 2006, 01:17pm
yeah...i'm going to school for it now, but i've been PSing for 6 or 7 years now...you just figure stuff out...use the tutorials, but also check out tutorials for otherstuff...like, i figured out how to outline flames with another color using a thread on how to make a cartoon eyeball...lol...

most people are self taught.. There are classes and manuals to do different things out there if you want to check them out..

Myself I started using MS Paint and then got my first copy of Photoshop 5.5 and have gone up from there.. Sometimes I know mine look different cause I guess my contrast here at work is a lot darker than the monitor at home so there have been a couple of chops that have looked awesome here on my monitor but looked like crap at home..

I finished mine here.. Nothing to fancy, changed the color a bit and a few other things.. Think I might add a few additional things before I am finished with it but overall its pretty much done.. I'm wondering how many other people went the 2 door route..

mine was black at one point...then blue...then white...then orange...then a different red...then orange two tone...then, on accident, i got it the final color...

I was thinking you used to work GD but maybe i was thinking of someone else. I know camberbrandt from CTF owns GD right?

Matt S

On the subject on monitors, LCDs are sharper, CRTs handle colors better. Just have to look at the image etc in both to find the happy balance. That's what I do now after I noticed some things looked really bad on different screens.

Yeah camber owns Graphic Disorder..

You might have seen some of my chops and thought that I worked for him.. There was another guy that did do some work for him... Of course that would be a nice gig.. do pics to make the cash..
