I've had my indiglos in for about a month now and I love em, except i just now realized that on the fuel guage there is no E for empty, just a red line. Did you get yours off of ebay? Also, what color did you paint the needles and does it look good with the indiglos?

Got mine of ebay from kindiglo. I guess this guy sell a hell of a lot of these on there. The only prob with mine is the font isn't exactly oem, so some of the lights don't line up perfect. . .I will put details on my needles after the bball game. . .

OK--Here's what i did
1. Remove needles
2. Pop round base from needle.
3. Spray paint base white.
4. Use testor's paint thinner and rubbed the back of the needle removing the white paint.
***Important - don't use sand paper to remove the white paint on the back of the needle, if you do it will not let the needle light up as brightly because the back will not be smooth anymore(I know because I did this to one of mine hehe)

5. paint the back of the needles with the brightest orange i could find.
6. paint the raised area on the base of the needle orange.
7. Snap the needles back together
8. Reinstall needles

Looks good!

If you have the indiglo on as BLUE and you switch your headlights to "BRIGHT" do you still see the indicator
for "BRIGHT"

just a question

To fix that alignment problem you have Justy3099 can't you just rip off the old gauges , still some colored
transparent film on the back on the Indiglos to match the old color then stick the new gauges on the cluster?

I don't know if you know what I mean........ but that should work!

funny you ask about the high beam indicator. Becuz i just had my truck inpsected at a place that will pass anything, and he siad that it wouldn't pass at most places(high beam indicator barely visible). That and my 20% on the side windows:) but he didnt care. BTW he didnt even check tires, brakes, emissions.hehe But ya i know what you mean. I thought about that(transparent colored stuff), but at the time I just wanted to get em in.I mat try that in the future. Also, you dont think the indiglos directly touching the cluster lights would harm them? I mean ya know the oems are seperating them now. . .

I was actually thinking about just taking off the old guages cuz its getting kinda annoying looking at the lights that dont match up. I dont think the cluster lights would harm the indiglos cuz the lights are recessed pretty far back. just my opinion. oh yeah, thanks for the info on painting the needles, doing that this weekend. btw, have you noticed that chicks totally jock the indiglos when your driving around? i love it!

actualy, ripping the old faces and sticking the new faces is how you install the NC White face gauges so I can't see how this could be bad! :D

yeah i know, but when you install the others their just a piece of plastic. I had those and am tryin to sell em now. The indiglos, have two wires connected into them(ie curent runs through them).Which means they make heat, and so would the factory bulbs, so ya see what i mean? And if i fudged up my indi's i would probably have to drive to cali and kill kindiglo cuz i cant afford another set. . . hehe jk bout the last part:D

Hey also, you should paint your needles . . .

Ya I see what you mean now... maybe you can figuer something out cause once you take the factory gauges off you CAN'T re-use them!!

I used a highlighter to "STAIN" my neddles yellow .. It showes up nicecly up close but next time I take my dash apart I will paint them like you did... they look cool!

when your removed your oem gauges did the top left of the large gauge face snag? Cause that's the only damage mine incurred. But when i put them back in it wasnt a factor because the snag was behind the trim, also, do you mean the originals wont go in because they aren't sticky? Cuz i think you could use 2 sided tape on the backs of the gauges except where the dummy lights are(might make them less bright).

hey justin, whered you mount the switch for the indiglos? mines just kinda hanging from the bottom of the steering column right now cuz i couldnt really find a place for it. the wires arent very long so its tough to find a place to mount.

Scott- ya that was me and i told ya i would post pics. I had an abundance of $$ that month and was feelin' saucy. . . :pimp:

And for the q about the switch, well, ya know the screws that hold the plastic piece on below the steering column(where the hood release screws in), well , just mounted it with the screw to the right of the hood release. It is right infront/abov the gas pedal, but has never gotten in the way yet.

I bought my indiglo guages on eBay for $50 orginally about 3 months ago. $100 is way too much.

I just recently bought a new pair last week for $35 total, and these have 5 stage color, whereas my old ones only had 2.

Regarding the switch mount -- I mounted directly to the left of my steering column and screwed it in directly to the dash, right below the black trim. Works out great.

Not true my Canadian friend. I got mine to come off without any damage...it would be no problem putting them back in and using them.
