Someone was telling me they just bout a ranger with a 2.8L and they were told the fuel injection system off the 3.8L was a near bolt on conversion for this. I used to hang out here a LOT a few years ago and never once heard anything about such a swap but since I wrecked my truck and got an F-250 with a Powerstroke I haven't been here so I thought maybe this was something newer. I know the 2.8L is a 60° V6 and the family line goes from that to the 2.9L then to the 4.0L but was always told the 3.8L was a completely different animal. Anyone have any isite on this?
